Who We’re Looking For
- Roofing Installer / Technician: Someone who knows how to lay a course straight, work safely at height, and take real pride in a finished deck – even when nobody’s watching.
- Roofing Apprentice: New to the trade but not new to hard work – willing to learn the right way from day one, not picking up bad habits from a crew that cuts corners.
- Lead Roofer / Crew Lead: A person who has done the work long enough to run it – keeping the job on pace, keeping the site clean, and keeping the standard without being reminded.
- Roof Inspector / Estimator: Detail-oriented and straight with people – able to read a roof, write up what it needs honestly, and put a number on paper that holds.
- Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator: Calm under pressure, organized down to the window we gave the customer, and the kind of person who closes the loop without being asked twice.
- Customer Service Representative: Someone who answers the phone like they mean it, listens first, and can explain a roofing situation to a homeowner without condescending or overselling.

If you’ve worked in construction, landscaping, painting, framing, or anything else where you’ve been outside doing physical work with your hands, more transfers than you’d think. Comfort with heights, reading a site, working alongside other people without creating problems – none of that has a roofing degree attached to it.
What we teach is the trade itself: how materials go down correctly, how to read a pitch, how to spot a flashing problem before it becomes a leak, and how to work to the Garrison Standard on every single job. The first months are about watching, asking, and doing the fundamentals right before moving faster. We’d rather take six months to build the right habits than have someone on a lead crew who learned the shortcut version first.
